Elizabeth B. Profitt, 84, Clarkston

      Elizabeth B. Profitt died Friday, July 29, 2005, in Clarkston, of natural causes.

     Elizabeth was born Nov. 26, 1920, in Lewistown, Mont., to Benjamin and Maggie Shaw. Her family moved to the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley when she was 6 years old.

     As a young teen, she married Frank Huminsky in 1936, in Chicago. Together they had four children, Myrtle, Leroy, Donna and Danny. The couple later divorced.

     On Feb. 12, 1954, she married Leonard Babe Profitt in Orofino. together they had five children, Larry, Ricky Allen, Carmen, Cathy and Teresa.

     She is survived by her two sisters, Zelma Von Tersch and Elaine Shoemake of Lewiston; her children, Larry and Shirley Alho of Coeur d'Alene, Leroy and Pam Huminsky of Pomeroy, Donna and Jerry Hays of Lewiston, Carmen and Scott Snyder, Cathy and Dan Medlock and Teresa Profitt, all of Clarkston; her 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Babe Profitt, her mother and father, two brothers, Johnny and Ray Shaw, a daughter, Myrtle Uhlenkott, two sons, Danny Storey and Ricky Allen, and a grandson, Johnny Hays.

     There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston. There will be a covered-dish potluck at Beachview Park in Clarkston after the service.
